What is Acne?

Acne, which occurs primarily in girls between the ages of 9 and 18 and in boys between the ages of 14 and 19, is the name given to a condition that typically results from inflammation of the sweat glands on the chest, face, and back. It is commonly known as pimples. In rare cases, acne can also occur in individuals in their 30s. Acne lesions typically appear as small black or red spots. These glands are formed when the sebaceous glands grow excessively due to hormones, and the secretion accumulates in the ducts and microbes are added, multiplying and becoming visible.
